5 Things to do in San Francisco

February 8, 2018

San Francisco is one of my favorite places to visit! They have great views, activities, and food! Matt & I have been a couple times within this last year and we have such a fun time every time we go! There are so many things to see and do, we never get bored! It is a busy city that offers so many great tours and activities! The weather is pretty great all year long and even in the summer there is a cool ocean breeze!  We love staying at the hotels near pier 39 because their location is perfect! They are close to the pier, union square, and so many great restaurants! Check out the great deals they have right now on hotels here! We always recommend taking a big city bus when sightseeing in a busy city! You can ride the entire tour and hop off and on at any stops you want to spend more time at! They are so much cheaper then taking a taxi everywhere and you get to see everything the city has to offer! You can check them out here!  They offer the tours in multiple different cities! I've done them in New York, Paris, Rome, and San Francisco!

There is so much to see and do but here are 5 things I recommend doing while you are there!

1. Go to the San Francisco Zoo

I was shocked at how large this zoo was, they have so many animals! They also have the coolest playground area for kids to run around and get some energy out!

2. Pier 39

From the sea lions, to the salt water taffy, to the carousel and magic show; the pier has something for everybody! We have the best time walking around these shops and enjoying the amazing food! If you are looking for a great view & restaurant, definitely check out The Chart House on the second floor at the end of the pier!

3. Alcatraz

This is definitely a tour I would recommend to anyone who has time while they are in San Francisco! If you are brave you can take the night tour, but if you are like me, the day tour will be interesting enough!

4. Union Square

We went at Christmas and they had this gorgeous Christmas tree and ice skating rink! For the best view of the square, check out The Cheesecake Factory on the top floor of the Macy's!

5. Fisherman's Warf

We love walking around here and checking out all of the street performers! It is located right next to Pier 39 and is a must see!
