Adalynn Ann DiGiacomo
It has been two weeks since we welcomed our precious girl into the world and our hearts are full. The first week that we spent together as a new family of four was challenging but so fulfilling. Our hearts are overwhelmed with the love we have for both our kids. I finally had a little bit of time and thought I would share with you all my favorite moments and photos from our precious girls birthday!
The last photo of the bump, taken before prepping for delivery! 39 weeks & 2 days
Because of the complications and outcome of our last pregnancy- Matt and I opted for a repeat c-section. We arrived at the hospital and checked into labor and delivery at 1:30! The entire process went really quickly and our c-section was right on schedule.
As soon as Matt got back into the room and grabbed my hand it finally sank in and all the emotions started. I knew that this was it, the moment I had been dreading and longing for. Within a few minutes we would be meeting the little girl we had been dreaming about for the last 9 months. Tears, prayers, and laughter filled the room as our precious girl entered the world at 4:08pm. The first thing our Dr. said when he grabbed her out was that she has the biggest dimples! She weighed 8 pounds 3 ounces and measured 20" long!
Daddy and Adalynn went back to the nursery to get everything checked out while they closed me back up and moved me into a recovery room!
Matt and Adalynn then came back into the recovery room. Seeing this man become a daddy for the third time was one of the greatest moments of the day.
They said everything was looking great and we were just waiting for a room, so while we were waiting I was able to sit up and hold her for the very first time and also start to breastfeed! We woke up the next morning still in shock that we had created and were now parents to this tiny little girl. We were able to go home one day early also because we were both doing so great! I can't wait to watch this little girl grow and get to know her sweet (but probably sassy) personality.
You can see some of my favorite photos from this day below!
