Life has been so crazy lately! Between the house, the holidays, and getting ready for the baby we have been constantly doing all the things! We have been in our home for 4 months now and we are loving every second of it! Our backyard is in the final stages! The kids have been loving playing outside and can't wait until it gets a little warmer so we can spend more time outside! I have been asked so many times to share a home tour and I finally had a few minutes to tidy up and snap a few pictures of our home! I am going to be sharing it on the blog soon!
Kennedy is due to make her appearance January 29th but we are hoping she joins us sooner if she is ready! I am so anxious to see who she looks like and squeeze those chubby cheeks of hers! I am trying to savor these last few weeks because it is very likely this will be the last sweet babe I grow in my tummy. We finally got her corner of our room set up and hung all her clothes! Our bags are packed and we are so ready to meet her!
Carter is almost two and a half and is doing so great in speech therapy! He is saying so many words, animal noises, and his understanding seems so much better these last few months. He is finally starting to be more lovey also! As a baby he never liked to be snuggled, swaddled, or held for too long. Now he loves to snuggle before bed and hold your hand. He will come sit down right next to you if you are near him. I can't believe how big he is getting and how quickly time is passing! He is obsessed with fish- he could watch the Blue Planet documentaries or Finding Dory all day long. He is also going through a phase where he loves trains, cars, and playing in the dirt! He carries around his trains everywhere and if there is a pile of dirt, you can bet he is over there playing in it!
Adalynn is one and a half and is just about the same height as Carter! She is getting so many teeth in these last few weeks! She hears Carter being more vocal and she tries to copy him all the time! Her current favorite word is "baby." She loves to point to my belly and say baby and then will point to her belly and say baby. She got a baby doll for Christmas and loves to carry it around, give her the binky, and give her kisses on the forehead. As good as she is with the baby doll I am a little worried she is going to be upset when Kennedy comes. She is all about the love and attention and I think she might have a hard time adjusting to not being the baby anymore. She is definitely my snuggle bug and loves her sleep! She is the one reminding me that its time to go "ni ni"
Life has been constantly moving at a fast pace recently. I am so ready for life to slow down and enjoy embracing life as a family of five.
